What is the Genesis Ovulation Tester?

How the Genesis Ovulation Tester Works.
When your body is preparing to release an egg, there is a surge in Luteinizing Hormone, and a surge in Estrogen in the body. This increased Estrogen causes the saliva to form crystals as it dries, and these crystals take on a distinct fern leaf pattern which is clearly visible under a microscope.
The Genesis Ovulation Tester is like a mini microscope that allows you to clearly see the changes in your saliva patterns during the 4 day ovulation period, which includes the days before and after the egg is released. When you are not ovulating your saliva will not show any particular pattern.
The crystallization of body fluids due to the Luteinizing Hormone and Estrogen was first observed by Dr. G.N. Papanicolau, whom the Pap Smear was named after, in 1946 when he was studying cervical fluids. The crystallization of saliva, and again the distinct fern leaf pattern due to the same hormonal influences, was discovered by Spanish gynecologist Dr. J.M. Biel Casals in 1968.
